How we write health information
A health website is only useful if you can trust it. Here is how we try to earn that.
Where the facts come from
General medical facts are taken from public health bodies and clinical guidance, mainly the World Health Organization and the US National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). Each guide and article lists its sources so you can check them yourself.
Who checks it
The health content is written and checked by Prof. Dr. Mohd. Harun-or-Rashid, the foundation’s consulting liver specialist. Where an article shows a named reviewer and dates, that review has been recorded; where it does not, the article is published by the foundation on the basis of the public sources listed.
What we will not do
- Promise that a treatment will work for everyone
- Describe a service, test or price as available unless it is
- Publish patient numbers or outcomes we cannot show evidence for
- Sell or recommend supplements, tonics or “liver cleanses”
Corrections
If you find a mistake, an outdated figure or a broken source link, email padmaliver@gmail.com with the page address and the sentence. We check and update the page.
Start with liver health, explained.
Book before you come. You will be given a time and the consultation fee for that day. The doctor’s visit and all tests are 25% off.
